One of the most frequently asked questions we get about semi-permanent makeup, is the difference between Microblading and Ombre Brows.

Both looks, form fuller looking eyebrows, but there is difference between Microblading and Ombre Brow. The method of application is different for each technique, which will need to be decided by the client before treatment.

Depending on what the client wants to achieve and their expectations, some clients would choose microblading, because they want a natural eyebrow effect. This method uses a blade, to create a hair stroke effect, that fills in gaps between the eyebrows to create fuller looking brows.

Other individuals opt for the Ombre Brow effect, whilst still looking natural, creates more definition to the shape of the eyebrows. This method uses tattoo needling and shading, which is very different to microblading, to create more depth to the eyebrow shape.

Some clients can even decide to go for a combination of methods or combo brow, that involve both microblading and ombre brow.

New technologies mean that there are many more pigments available on the market. This is great for clients, as they can now have a closer shade of pigments, to their natural hair colour. We work with Ink Definiton Mineral Pigments, where Kinga Siulerzycka, our semi-permanent makeup artist/lingergist, is the brand ambassador.

Deciding which method is for you can be difficult. We recommend you speak with our specialist based in Fulham SW6, who can take you through the right technique for your face and skin type.
